As part of the upcoming Buckfest festival in March, I spoke with one of the bands on the line up : The Defamed.
Who are your main musical influences, not just your favorite bands, but those that shape your sound?
A Global Threat, Antidote and Rush.
Who is the best opening band from one of your shows?
What other bands have each of you already played before?
Sara : Chârogne.
Will : Beat Yer Meat and Orally Fixated.
Kevin : Crimes and Power Cup.
Which lesser-known bands would you recommend checking out, emerging ones if possible?
Soap Eater.
Have you ever been to Saguenay?
We’ve been to Saguenay in other bands but not as The Defamed.
Do you prefer your poutine with cheese curds or shredded?
Cheese curd poutine.

Je suis chargé de projet informatique à l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Pour le Bad Crew, je suis rédacteur depuis février 2024 et photographe quand la situation se présente. J'aime beaucoup assister à de nombreux shows chaque année. Ce qui me motive, c'est de faire rayonner la scène musicale et ainsi faire découvrir des groupes québécois et internationaux. Ma paie, c'est de voir la formation de nouveaux groupes et que les promoteurs continuent à organiser des spectacles.
